With an exemplary military career, in her current role as Head of Corporate Services Tersia oversees the various administrative and support tasks required for the smooth functioning of Incomar.  She joined Incomar in 2023 after a 43-year career in the South African National Defence Force (SANDF), where she was deployed in supply chain management and logistics, at tactical, operational, and strategic levels.

Tersia is experienced in areas such as human resources, finance and accounting, legal compliance, information technology and overall administrative support she is well positioned to ensure Incomar’s high standard of excellence are executed with military precision. Notably, she served as a Brigadier General and as a Major General for more than half of her service years in the SA National Defence Force.  She also served as an Air Force Board member in the rank of a Colonel, Brigadier General and a Major General for several years.

As a trailblazer for women in the military, she was appointed as the first Chief Air Staff Logistics in January 2018.  She was also the first woman promoted into the position as the Director of Engineering Support Services in the Logistic Division of the SA National Defence Force. Durin her wide-spanning career, Tersia also served as the Director of Base Support Services, the Director of Logistics as well as the Director of Corporate Communications. She was also the longest serving member on the Department of Defence’s Commercial Procurement Board.

Tersia has 18 years’ managerial experience in 5 different posts at Directors’ level as a Brigadier General in operational and strategic level positions and 3 years managerial experience at Chief Director’s level as a Major General in the Chief Air Staff Logistics position. She has 3 years of supply chain functional inspections and report writing experience ,as a Staff Officer at the Inspectorate of the Air Force. Tersia also has 3 years of experience as a Brigadier General in the Air Force Base Support Systems post, where she was responsible for the management of all infrastructure, Fire & Rescue Services; Bulk aviation fuel and fuel bowsers; Transport; Supply Chain management; Aircraft Technical Documentation; Architect Services; Town Counselling Services; Technical Draftsmen; Environmental Services (including Nature Reserve) and Hospitality Services.

Additionally Tersia has 3 years’ experience in Joint Operations Support at the Joint Operations Division (as a Brigadier General); 2 years of experience in Joint Operations Support Services at the Joint Operations Tactical Head Quarters (as a Brigadier General); 3 years of experience managing the Directorate Engineering Support Services at the Logistic Division of the SANDF; 9 years of experience as a member of the Department of Defence’s Commercial Procurement Board; and 3 years of experience managing the Air Force’s Directorate Corp.

Experienced in areas such as human resources, finance and accounting, legal compliance, information technology and overall administrative support, Tersia is well positioned to ensure Incomar’s high standard of excellence are executed with military precision.  With a strong emphasis on collaboration and teamwork Tersia’s role extends beyond efficient, effective, and compliant administration to staff support services, significantly boosting Incomar’s culture of professionalism and precision.

Tersia holds a Senior Management Programme Certificate from the University of Pretoria; an Executive National Security Program Certificate from the SANDF College; and Life Coaching and Time Line Therapy Certificates from the School of Life, Centurion.
